OMG.
So I'm back on this BLOG. It NEVER dies.
I have a strong urge to just, re-modify the whole page. But I'm seriously not in the mood to do any HTML codings for now. I did a little tweak with the resolution to keep up with today's wide screen technology and that's about it, so I hope non of you view my blog as " too big ". I'm kinda stuck on working on another web page which apparently, is going to be used as a portfolio ( as part of the foundation requirement. )
Woofyyy.weebly.com
I just barely started on it like, 2 weeks ago? With the help of Glenn ( Idk if you're even reading this but, its only right to pay some credits. ) So its barely even constructed. Though HTML is one of the ricebowl during my poly years, I hadn't been touching those computer language for almost 3 years already. And my knowledge on HTML back then is just mediocre ( I HATED IT. PROLLY MY WORST MODULE. ), needless to say now.
Anyway, so much to share, so little time and space.
I'll just summarize how its like in The UK.
1) All girls own a pair of boots here.
2) Noise-cancelling Headphones are hot around here. ( I just got a Sennheiser one yesterday :P )
3) Everyone thinks I'm 18. They say they are envious of how people in Singapore look so young whilst being so old.
4) I actually think racism in Singapore is more common than in The UK.
5) A McDonald's meal cost 5 Pounds here; And their pancakes and KFC taste horrendous.
6) Me and my Dorm mates don't know how to cook at all. But we still eat what we cook.
7) We use half a small bottle of Soy Sauce everytime, coupled with a few scoops of salt and sugar. No onions or ginger so we let the life threatening seasoning do the job. But hell, they tasted good.
8) Never hang out with mainland chineses during meal times.
9) European guys don't know how to wash the dishes ( Literary ).
10) All the cool girls ride bicycles to school. A strange mix of hotness and nerdiness.
I probably have like a whole list queueing up, waiting for me to just type them all here. I guess I'll do 10 per update. That should make it run like a serial comedy on TV.
Anyway, I'm glad I chose the Bellerbys Foundation routes instead of the usual Into-( Insert desired Uni ) programmes. The good news is, University of Bristol and Warwick are within reach, and I don't necessarily need to stick with Birmingham to do a Degree in Social Media which I've been offered ( That is fixed. I don't wanna do media !!! ). Bad news is, IELTS requirement for Bristol and Warrick are 7.5 and 7.0 respectively ( Thats equivalent to SG's A1 and A2 for A Levels ). Of course there are 8.0 and 8.5 ( distinction ) but that is impossible, or almost. One of the Hong Kongers around here told me that on average, only two students get 8.0 per year in his country.
I felt a little at ease when one of my coursemate told me he got 5.5 for IELTS before. ( And his English wasn't exactly very good ) So at least, I know where I stand. 6-ish is achieveable I believe. Time to work some asses off for that damned 7.
PS : My horoscope says 7 is my lucky number.
